Snowy owls live on the Arctic tundra year around.  They nest directly on the ground because there are no trees in the Arctic.  Baby owls, known as owlets, are fed by both parents and within eight weeks are ready to leave the nest.  In the summer, snowy owls are brownish with dark spots and stripes but they turn completely white in the winter.

Les chouettes blanches vivent sur la toundra arctique toute l'annΘe. Elles nichent directement sur le sol car il n'y a pas d'arbres dans l'arctique. Les jeunes chouettes sont nourries par les deux parents et en huit semaines, elles sont prΩtes üEquitter le nid. En ΘtüE les chouettes harfangs sont marron avec des tΓches foncΘes et des rayures, mais elles deviennent complΦtement blanches en hiver.

Los b·hos n·ôeos viven en la tundra ßrtica todo el a±o.  Ellos anidan directamente en la tierra porque no hay ßrboles en el Artico.  Los b·hos bebΘs, conocidos como polluelos de b·hos son alimentados por ambos padres y luego de un per·îdo de ocho semanas ya estarßn listos para dejar el nido.  En el verano, los b·hos n·ôeos son pardos con manchas oscuras y rayas, pero se vuelven completamente blancos en el invierno.
